This is pretty neat as when errors are made they are allowed to play out with an unintentional consequences. The students get a surprise as they do not know what
ailment they are going to get when they start. You can see the control panels in the picture with a director that makes the adjustments in vital signs, etc. as the training moves forward.

A few days ago I posted about the 2 hospitals being in talks and it appears the acquisition has taken place, although there are many items to take care of and an approval needs to be given. I hope all works out for the best here and think this is the best that could have happened.

Let’s face it - sooner or later, we will all need to rely on an emergency room for medical care. This may or may not be a good experience.

According to the article, it does not break the skin, but it is there and at the bottom of this post theres a link to You Tube to show how it works. I try and keep
things non offensive here, so you can use the link and see more details on how it works. An added plus here too is the fact that it could save women the chance of contracting a sexually transmitted disease.

We just posted an update on the ongoing cozy relationship with medical device companies, in particular, those that make prosthetic hip and knee joints, and some orthopedic surgeons. Some surgeons, including many prominent academic leaders and practitioners, have been paid huge amounts, and have often failed to make more than the most minimal disclosure to their patients, or to the audiences of their talks or the readers of their ostensibly scholarly articles. Deferred prosecution agreements with device companies shed light on these payments, but did not curtail them. Yet the surgeons and the companies who paid them defended the payments as legitimate consulting agreements, and royalties for worthy innovations.

If you have not heard of the West Wireless Health Institute, I have posted about some of their activity in the past. Also in the news this week about the institute,
philanthropists Gary and Mary West will give $25 million to the West Wireless Health Institute, and this accounts for the 3rd donation. The West Wireless Health Institute has been give a total so far $90 million from the Wests and is only about a year old. Qualcomm, Scripps and General Electric are already in house as collaborators.

You have probably heard rumor that Virginia law only gives you a limited amount of time to file a lawsuit.
